For all those of you (and there have been many) who have complained about the lack of new house pictures, here 'ya go! This is
the calm before the storm, although, with the weather we've had during this project, I probably shouldn't use that figure of speech.
We survived an ice storm, floods, a baby, and pausing our job to finish my mom & dad's house. We're on the home stretch!
This is the master bath. Tile is almost done on the floor &
you can see that Brian Reed is working on the walk-in shower
now. The circle on the outer shower wall is the template for a
mosaic. The other room shown in the closet.
The living room just needs carpet. We're so close to moving
in! Most all rooms just need carpet or hard wood. We're
installing a little extra lighting in the extra bedrooms too.
How'd you like my eBay marble sink? When budget fails,
check eBay. Speaking of budget, we're way over. Michael
says we'll be eating beans for a few years, but it'll be worth it
(he never laughed after he said it... I think he was serious...)
This is the kitchen looking on from the back of the living
room. Appliances have been ordered, so this room's almost
done.
Cole's room still needs the stripes on the bottom. He has a
baseball room (check out the fan) and the bottom 1/2 of the
room will have stripes like a jersey.
"Becky & Rice's" room just needs flooring to be complete!
This was taken from the office looking on to the living room
into the kitchen & breakfast area. You can see the tile down
in the kitchen & breakfast area.
Dining room and entry. So what's next? Well, we'll have
hard wood floors next week, then toilets (that's always a good
idea before you move in), then touch up!

No, we don't always have balloons in our house, but it was Cole's birthday! I snapped a few pictures of the living room. Hopefully you can see the office in the background. The dining area is on the other side. We'll get our window treatments in a month or so. Next is the kitchen - in work mode. Then, the bedroom. It's not completely finished in the decorating area yet. It looks on to the patio & backyard. Below is my bathroom. Soaking in my tub while watching HGTV is just great. Below that is the closet. Michael's pretty proud because he designed this entire part of the house himself. We had a floor plan but it was very basic. We added to the floor plan for a few months then started building. Michael did a great job of building everything we could think of to make the house perfect, right down to the outlet in the bathroom for a nightlight and the hidden countertop in the pantry for cooking prep. He's proud & can't wait to show it off. I still haven't taken good pics of Cole's room, the guestroom & of course, upstairs!
